Students & Parents

Interested in STEM? Apply to MC2STEM High School or Design Lab Early College High School.

At the very core of our STEM community you will find our students and their families. Already we are creating a legacy tradition where our first students have so inspired their younger siblings they are enrolling as well. And families are becoming so involved they are known by every teacher student and staff member at the school.

A few or our students and parents shared their feelings about their STEM school.

Students
  • “The principal refers to the whole school as his family. (I really like that.)”
  • "I came to DLECHS because the moment I walked into the school I saw my future. I saw a beginning of a career and an opportunity to become something big. I love it here." Sonya Soto
  • "I attend DLECHS because I want to do something with my life and I didn't want this opportunity to pass me by." - Antaysha Hickerson
  • "The opportunity, education and experience here are unmatchable. My principal and dean and teachers constantly help me along the way, always encouraging me to be the best that I can be." - Armon Brown
Parents:
  • “This school challenges the students beyond what they currently believe.”
  • “When (my son) gets up he wants to go to school. If he has to miss a day for something he says ‘Mom. I have to be there.’”
  • "The principal really cares. He is so open.”
  • "We have a good captain at the stern."
We invite all of our STEM students and parents in Northeast Ohio to share a story with us about your experience.

Please share your stories with the Cleveland Hub. We will plan to update the stories on the first of each month or more often if required by the volume of submissions.
